The latest poster released for Aquaman just got a fan edit that hilariously names all the sea creatures that appear on the poster. In the poster, a variety of sea life surrounds Aquaman, so it was only a matter of time before someone decided that they all deserved names.

In Aquaman, Jason Momoa stars as Arthur Curry, a half-human and half-Atlantean who must juggle the needs of the surface world with the demands of the world beneath the oceans. After he finds the trident of King Atlan, he must become the King that his people need. But there are those who would stand in his way, and he must fight them, as well as his own insecurities, to become the leader that can unite the world of Atlantis with the world that exists above it. Based on DC Comics, the movie will release in December. The film also stars Willem Dafoe, Amber Heard, and Patrick Wilson.

A new poster released last week for Aquaman shows Arthur under the ocean surrounded by sea creatures. One fan, Cameron Williams, hilariously took that photo and gave each sea creature its own name.

So now Terry the shark, and Mel B. the dolphin exist. And it’s probably likely that once other fans see these names, they will probably stick. That’s one more thing to look for in the movie: When does Sharky McShark Face show up on film?

Considering that Aquaman does have the ability to talk to fish, something that the movie will tackle, it’s not too far-fetched to think that he probably has names for these sea animals. Although that ability has often given him a bad rap as a superhero, often making him the subject of mockery, it is only one of his many superpowers. It’s also a bit of a misnomer. Aquaman doesn’t talk to fish, he communicates commands to them, which means that he can send a shark at an enemy with no more than a gurgle.

The first official trailer for Aquaman landed at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, but as with this poster, there is a fan edit that makes it even more exciting. This is often the case with movies, where fans seem to have more love and understanding of the material than those who work in the Warner Bros. marketing department.

DC has had a some misfires when it comes to its Justice League characters’ solo movies (save for Wonder Woman), so fans are cautiously optimistic about Aquaman. So far, though, everything about the film seems good, but the real test will come in December when fans finally get to see Arthur Curry in his first solo live-action outing on the silver screen.
