Aquaman gets two new posters ahead of its release, featuring Arthur Curry and Princess Mera in their classic comic book costumes. December marks the time Jason Momoa finally makes his debut as a lead character in the latest from Warner Bros’ DC cinematic universe, directed by James Wan (The Conjuring). The main characters have recently appeared in various other promos to hype up the movie’s Dec. 21 premiere.

The latest box office projections for Aquaman aren’t particularly strong, but the early reactions to the film are positive. If Momoa’s scene-stealing performance as Arthur Curry in Justice League is any indication, the charismatic star will do just fine in his first leading role as the title character. Aquaman will feature plenty of scenes in Atlantis with Curry and Mera (Amber Heard), as the audience gets its first real look at the characters’ underwater home on the big screen. The newest posters only continue to tease what’s to come.

Check out the new posters for Aquaman from Warner Bros. below. The first features Momoa as Arthur Curry and Heard as Mera, coming in for their close-ups with the tagline, “Home Is Coming.” Curry is donning his full suit, with Mera unsurprisingly doing the same. A second only features Arthur, with the tagline, “He’s Not From Around Here.”

It’s far from the first appearance of the two characters in recent promotional materials for Aquaman. The first TV spot came out in October and featured some fresh glimpses at Arthur and Mera, as well as a taste of the same sense of humor that the character displayed in Justice League. Other character posters have spotlighted the main characters on their own, including Arthur and Mera as well as Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Patrick Wilson’s King Orm, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Willem Dafoe as Vulko.

These new posters reveals a level of detail in Aquaman and Mera’s suits that hasn’t been seen in many other promos for the movie. It’s certainly hype time for Aquaman with its official release imminent, as Wan has confirmed that the movie is finished and the extended trailer is probably the final look at any major details before the premiere.

The trailer may have had a little too much detail for some, but that’s not likely to stop theatergoers who were already planning on seeing the film. With a reported budget of $160 million, Aquaman will be one of the most intriguing winter releases to track financially. The box office projections may be a concern for Warner Bros., but based on the talent involved and the early reactions, the film itself should not.
