A set video from the Jason Momoa-led Aquaman film has made its way online treating fans to a brand new look at the Amnesty Bay Lighthouse. Official news regarding what the James Wan-directed film will specifically tackle is still rather thin with no official synopsis released as of yet. That said, since it will be the first standalone for the King of the Seven Seas, fans can expect that the film will delve a bit into his origins story coupled with references to the events of Justice League where he will first fully appear.

Momoa is currently busy juggling his work between filming of his DCEU solo adventure film and the supposedly still ongoing Justice League reshoots under Joss Whedon. Principal photography for Aquaman has been smoothly going on since May in Australia under the working title Ahab but some other location shoots around the globe have also been scheduled. Last month, however, it was reported that the iconic Lighthouse set was finally being built and thanks to the new video, we know that construction is still well underway.

The video comes from Yahoo’s 7 News (via Twitter) reporting of the ongoing work on the building at Hastings Point, New South Wales. As briefly mentioned, no big stars like Momoa, Amber Heard who plays Mera or Nicole Kidman who plays Atlanna have been spotted on the location - and understandably so given the current state of the work still needed to be done on the set. Check the aerial clip below:

To the uninitiated, the Amnesty Bay Lighthouse is a pivotal part of Arthur Curry’s history as it is where his parents first met. His lighthouse keeper father Thomas, played by Temuera Morrison, found the water-breathing Atlantean, Atlanna - the two quickly fell in love and eventually conceived their son, who will be the king of Atlantis. And since we know that Aquaman won’t have a linear timeline, events taking place in the lighthouse will presumably be a part of a flashback sequence.

Last month, the first footage from Aquaman made its long awaited debut at San Diego Comic-Con. Presented by Momoa himself, the clip was supposedly short, which is understandable since the film is still a long way from being finished. Unfortunately, the teaser was exclusive to Hall H with no word yet when a full official trailer will be released.

Despite still being more than a year away from rolling out, Aquaman continues to draw attention from comic book fans, as well as, casual moviegoers. The anticipation and excitement is expected to only further intensify with the release of Justice League later this year especially with the Atlantis King arguably having some of the most epic shots in the last two trailers for the ensemble DC film thanks to his undeniable suave and sassy brand of humor.
