Archer season 11 is officially happening, and here’s everything we know about it so far. Archer season 11 was confirmed at SDCC 2019, only a few weeks before season 10 was scheduled to wrap up.

Archer is FXX’s hilarious take on TV spy series of yesteryear like Get Smart. Debuting in 2009, each season showcases the raunchy, weird, and wildly entertaining adventures of suave super-spy Sterling Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) and his fellow spy team. The voice cast of Archer - Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash, Adam Reed, and Lucky Yates - are all expected to return for season 11. Executive producer Casey Willis confirmed Archer would be waking up from his coma in Archer season 11. Archer’s coma has lasted for the past three seasons and explains why each season since the eighth one has often been centered around a different theme.

Here’s everything we know about Archer season 11 so far; more details are expected to crop up online when the new season goes into production.

Archer Season 11 Release Date Info

Archer season 11 will return in 2020. Since season 7, each new season premiere has happened between March and May, so it seems likely season 11 won’t be any different. A season will typically premiere in April and run for approximately nine episodes. It’s very likely this will be the case with season 11, especially considering the season was renewed with enough time to begin production in time to gear up for a spring 2020 release. The official release date will likely not be confirmed until the first season 11 trailer is released - and that won’t happen for a few months.

Archer Season 11 Story

No official story or season-long theme was confirmed at the time of Archer’s season 11 renewal. In more recent seasons, Archer has revolved around a different theme as one of the side effects of Archer falling into a coma. These season-long themes have become more obviously a guide for a season’s story.

Season 8 was titled “Archer Dreamland” and saw Archer working in 1940s Los Angeles; it was styled like a noir film. Season 9, “Danger Island”, was set on a deserted island in 1938 with Indiana Jones vibes. Season 10 is subtitled “1999” which has seen the entire Archer crew living and working aboard a salvage spaceship. With Archer set to wake up from his coma, viewers should prepare for the setting to return to normal and the story resume where it left off in season 7.
