A U.S. District judge has decided that Apple will have to face a US federal lawsuit over complaints that it prevented users from receiving text messages after switching from iPhone to Android, according to a report from Reuters. Apple has added an additional TV provider to its list of partners supporting its Single Sign-on feature for iOS 10 and tvOS 10. Cable ONE joins ten other providers that let customers authenticate once through the Settings app to access content in paid video apps. Apple has today announced the official name of its spaceship campus: Apple Park. The new headquarters complex had previously been referred to as Apple Campus 2. The 1,000-seat auditorium will be named the Steve Jobs Theater. The company also revealed the timeline for employees to move into the campus, as well as sharing a few high-resolution images (below) … Apple began hiring staff for the campus back in November. Apple has announced today that developers will be required to provide new privacy details to users in the App Store starting December 8. These privacy “nutrition labels” were first introduced at WWDC over the summer, with Apple saying the goal is to better inform consumers of the privacy practices of individual applications. Apple union-busting techniques have been described as “traumatic” by employees in the first Apple Store to unionize, Towson, Maryland. They accuse Apple of failing to live up to its own human rights policy, and say that various threats were made to workers intending to join the union – including one who was told that the immigration assistance offered by the company could be withdrawn … The workers have created a petition, calling on the Apple board to ensure that staff in other stores are not subjected to the same tactics....

Apple has just released a new version of Beats Music for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch that adds the ability to migrate from the subscription music service to Apple Music which replaces it. The migration assistant keeps both playlists and saved music from artists and albums intact when moving to Apple Music. Apple notes that once a Beats Music account is converted to an Apple Music account, the previously existing Beats Music account is permanently cancelled....

Still no Apple Pay in stores at Target just yet, but Apple Watch will be joining the lineup of iPhones and iPads in select stores this week – and all stores by October 25th. Target operates over 1800 stores across the United States, greatly expanding the points-of-sale for Apple Watch going into the holiday quarter. As we reported last year, Apple has begun offering a new way for customers to discover its subscription services through QR codes and NFC tags in some of its retail stores.
