Apple’s second store in South Korea will celebrate its grand opening on February 26 at 10:00 a.m. The store was first announced last November on Apple’s website as coming soon. Apple Yeouido is located on L1 of IFC Mall Seoul. You can learn more about the store and see it in context with Apple Garosugil, South Korea’s first Apple Store, in our previous coverage. After Apple announced its imminent opening in Yeouido last November, South Korea saw an unprecedented spike in new COVID-19 cases, which may have contributed to the significant delay between announcement and opening....

Apple has seeded a new build (13D61) of the upcoming OS X 10.9.3 update to developers. The developer update comes just hours after Apple seeded a slightly newer build to its AppleCare team. 10.9.3 is expected to ship in the near future and features improved support for 4k monitors on newer MacBook pro models. The update also re-introduces the ability to sync contacts and calendar data to an iOS device from iTunes over a USB connection....

Last month, Apple unveiled a new commercial for the iPhone and always-on Siri, and now the company has shared a new video showcasing the behind-the-scenes process of making the video. “Go behind the scenes of the commercial, with Cookie Monster and everyone’s favorite personal assistant, Siri,” Apple teases. The original ad, released last month, showcased the Cookie Monster using an iPhone 6s and hands-free Siri to make cookies. The Cookie Monster used hands-free Siri to control the timer while baking the cookies....

Pro Applications Update 2009-01 is for users of Apple’s professional video- and audio-production suite, Final Cut Studio. Information on the update is available below. Server Diagnostics 3X106 is a free package of tools that test your server for hardware issues. “Apple Server Diagnostics (AXD) runs a customizable set of tests to help you diagnose issues with server components,” Apple states. Components include the Boot ROM, Ethernet controller, fan, hard drive, memory, power supply, processor, sensor, USB ports, and the video controller....

Apple has announced that its retail store on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade will close temporarily beginning September 16th. The store’s closure is set to begin just four days after Apple’s September 12th special event at Steve Jobs theater, where updated iPhone and Apple Watch models are expected to be announced. Historically, new iPhones and Apple Watches become available for purchase within a few weeks of announcement, so customers who frequent the Santa Monica store may want to plan ahead for fall shopping....

If you love using YouTube on your iDevice, there’s no need to panic, though. You’ll still be able to use the video-sharing service on your device via the Safari browser. Google is also working on an app that will be available in the AppStore (for free, most certainly) likely being available shortly after the release of iOS6 if not earlier. According to Apple as quoted by The Telegraph, its license for the Google App has expired, and more likely than not, is that Apple and Google are direct competitors now with Google’s Mobile Android Phones, it would be silly for Apple to allow Google flagship apps on its devices further building on Google’s brand and products....

As it prepares its full entry into streaming TV for later this year, Apple has quietly launched a dedicated YouTube channel for Apple TV. On the channel, Apple showcases trailers, clips, and more for popular shows and movies. The new channel was first spotted by MacStories. Apple Watch Nike+ Series 3 models are now available to order from Apple and Best Buy. While the LTE version is shipping in roughly 3-4 weeks, some Apple Stores have stock today. The Nike+ model without LTE looks to be a bit easier to come by… Earlier this week, Nike released an update to its Nike+ Run Club app bringing a variety of improvements. Tomorrow, Apple will unveil the new Apple Watch Series 8 alongside two other new Watches. While people are eager to know more about the new smartwatches, Apple Watch Series 7 Hermès Edition and its bands are now unavailable at the Apple Online Store. In addition, Hermès removed from its website the Watches and bands in collaboration with Apple. Hermès has been an Apple partner since the first days of the original Apple Watch....

A rather speculative KGI note suggests that Apple’s focus on augmented reality (AR) instead of virtual reality (VR) will give the company a 3-5 year lead on the rest of the industry when it launches its first products. The report also suggests that Apple could use augmented reality as part of an autonomous driving system. Following Motorola winning a possible injunction against Apple mobile products in Germany, Apple has told a German court it is set to lose $2.7 billion if it rules in favor of Motorola regarding a patent case related to an “emailing syncing patent”, according to a report from Bloomberg (via BusinessInsider). Apple has reportedly requested the court to demand Motorola provide $2.7 billion in collateral in the event the judge sides with Motorola....

Coinciding with today’s update to Keynote for Mac and iOS, Apple has silently removed the old Keynote Remote application from the App Store. Although a direct link to the application still works, some readers are reporting that they are no longer able to download the app, and it no longer appears in search results. It’s no surprise that the app got pulled- it was never refreshed for iOS 7, and never even gained 4″ display support for that matter....

Following today’s beta release of iOS 10.3.2, Apple has stopped signing iOS 10.2.1 and iOS 10.3. Now, users who were looking for the possibility to downgrade from iOS 10.3 or 10.3.1 will no longer be able to do so. When iOS 10.3 was officially released, Apple introduced its new file system into the upgrade. When users on iOS 10.2.1 upgraded to iOS 10.3, they were seamlessly transitioned to the new APFS....
